INFICON Website

This leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of scientific
instrumentation, sensor technologies and process control software required a website that could be easily maintained in-house to publish frequent product updates.
As a global corporation they needed to set the
right tone to appeal to worldwide corporate and government customers,
offer content translated into several languages, and provide an entry point
for employee and customer communications. An added challenge was
the wide range of customers using the site, searching for several
different industrial product categories and end uses.
2007 Design Update:
User feedback was used to improve and streamline the navigation, and update the international sites and support area. An updated Flash messaging area was added to the homepage.

Second level: Each major industry category got its own homepage, reflecting the wide variety of news and product developments in each area.

Initial redesign by Emphasis Creative, circa 2005:
The redesigned site had a more up-to-date look and feel while remaining
true to existing corporate branding, and provided targeted areas
for each type of customer amongst their wide range of products.
A state of the art Content Management backend was added to allow in-house staff
to maintain and add content, and maintain translated content in seven
localized language areas. Database backend was added for a searchable online library of brochures and technical manuals in PDF format.

Starting point, circa 2003:
The initial site was hard-coded in HTML and lacked advanced language capability and content management.
