Raybern Website

This provider of high-quality architectural hardware to the trades has a wide
selection of astonishingly beautiful objects from around the world-
as well as high tech builders hardware and larger materials. The
task was to give some flavor of the vast array of products offered,
and drive business to the brick-and-mortar showroom. The tactile nature
of the products and the huge selection made an online store less optimal
than the wholesale business, fueled by personal contacts the business
has built up amongst local architects and builders.
The new current site makes more use of CSS styles, and has a bolder
cleaner look, reflecting the owner's liking for Italian design, and
working in tandem with a series of print ads and flyers of similar
style to make a unified marketing message.

The original site, which Liz Manicatide designed for Raybern in
1997, was formatted to be 800x600 friendly, and used the best practices
of the day. It also used a right-side menu layout which was different
and eye catching.
